Say what you want about the man… but within hours of signing with the Cowboys, Owens’ website had a new color scheme, the Cowboys logo all over it, and a brand new rap song featuring Terrell Owens himself. Steve Largent never did that.
So, he’s a Cowboy now… so at some point this season, we’re going to see an ESPN feature involving Michael Irvin, Terrell Owens, and Deion Sanders… all in the same room at the same time. It could be entertaining. It could cause the earth to start spinning backwards. We’ll just have to wait and see.
I think it will work for the Cowboys. For a while. There’s a very reasonable chance that this year comes off without a hitch, and the Cowboys are a dangerous team because of it. Terrell Owens is a game-changer. He’s one of the few individual players in the league who can make a team go from being average to being a Super Bowl contender.
But a meltdown is going to happen sooner or later. In fact, we should start a pool. He accused Jeff Garcia of homosexuality, or Donovan McNabb of wearing out and costing the Eagles a Super Bowl. Of what is he going to accuse Drew Bledsoe? It could be any number of things…
• Being gay and getting tired. Probably during gay sex.
• Locking puppies in his car with the windows rolled-up in the Texas heat
• Being a member of the Klan
• Enjoying the movie “Howard the Duck”
• Being responsible for the deaths of both JFK and Dale Earnhardt
• Having sex with Judith Parcells
• Laughing at Stuart Scott’s lame jokes during SportsCenter

Either way, I can’t wait for all the “Time to Get Your Story Straight” commercials of Cowboy fans saying shit like “We’re definitely going to win the Super Bowl with Keyshawn, I mean, T.O.”

But didn’t TO say that McNabb’s exhaustion in the 4th quarter of Super Bowl XXXIX cost them the game? I thought that was the origin of the whole TO-McNabb fight.
Maybe I’m forgetting something. I was making an effort to ignore TO after he started bitching about money last year.
