For example, "The Connecticut Men's Team is the most dominant team in the country. Why?" Or, "They play like a team is supposed to. What?" I swear, the man answers more of his own rhetorical questions than I've ever seen. What's worse is that the questions after his assertions sometimes don't match up with what he was saying. "Why" appears behind a statement that should be "Who." Who does this guy think he is? It's no wonder he's not doing color commentary at a live game because he would try to do both the play-by-play and color parts. He's the set-up and the punchline, except he does it backwards. I watch mostly Big Ten games so I see Lavin a lot more than either of the other two, and while he's kinda irritating, he's pretty harmless and you can mostly ignore him; it's impossible to ignore Vitale. Lavin is pretty bad, and Phelps is even worse but they both have a LONG ways to go before they reach the annoyance level of Dick Vitale.
