The Miami Dolphins have opened up their arms for Marcus Vick… kinda. They’re inviting him to their mini-camp for kind of an audition… he won’t be getting a contract, he won’t be getting a paycheck, and I think he has to bring his own footballs to throw. But he will get a chance.
These things do often lead to contract offers, so… if he steps in there and plays well, and manages not to break the law and stay off of boats with Daunte Culpepper, he could get a contract. All he’ll have to do is beat out either Brock Berlin or Cleo Lemon. You’ve gotta like his chances on that one… I think the woman who got herpes from Marcus’s brother throws a tighter spiral than Brock Berlin.
If it doesn’t work out, though… Michael Smith says the Canadian Football League is an option. How odd that just as Doug Flutie could be retiring, a talented and productive college quarterback could be forced to Canada to start his professional football career. It’s like everyone has always said about Marcus Vick… he’s the next Doug Flutie.
Truthfully, I still can’t believe that no one gave him even a free agent contract. He’s just too talented not to have gotten one.

I really do hope this guy sorts himself out, but I think the last place in the world this guy should go to would be South Beach. It’s a matter of seconds before he’s fighting in the Chee Burger Chee Burger parking lot.

New Mexico will make it to Camp Saban, but he has the same chances of making it THROUGH Camp Saban as K-Fed does of winning a Grammy award. Hell, a Tony award.

That’s the problem, being an asshole hasn’t prevented players from playing in the NFL. Guys like this don’t deserve to play in the NFL and get all the benefits that come with it. Guys like him deserve to be beaten senseless. He’s a prick. I think now’s as good as time as any to start making a stand against worthless fucks.

I don’t get it, this guy was an average quarterback at best in college. He only looked good when VT was beating up on teams like Duke.

As a Dolphins fan this was my reaction to the news that Marcus Vick was invited to the rookie camp:
I told myself that if a team drafted him I would instantly become an anti-fan of that team. 255 picks went by, and he was undrafted. I smiled.
Then last night I was watching Sportscenter, and on the ticker came “Marcus Vick accepts invitation…”
I thought to myself, “what jackass team is bringing him in?”
And it was answered with, “…to Miami Dolphins rookie training camp this weekend.”
SONUVA!
Guess I better throw my Irving Fryar and Dan Marino jerseys in a pile and set them ablaze.
