the winnipeg jets started the white out in the early 90's at winnipeg jets nhl playoff games. The atmosphere at those games was out of control, the white ice, the white fans... the eruption of cheers when the red light goes on after winnipeg scores and the fans jump in the air, it was pretty cool... until the team got moved to phoenix, and they tried to move the tradition with it, which was a complelte failure, and now miami has adopted it, with terrible results.

As for Krstic, that big bag of idiocy, Bill Walton, said he voted Krstic as the all-NBA second team center, behind Shaq. Apparently, Walton has never heard of Ben Wallace or Yao Ming.

Didn't Penn State do the whole "white out" thing last fall?

Or have the Jets/Coyotes been doing it for a long time? Not that it matters, I just want to know where it originated and how it can be stopped.

Shaq is in trouble. The refs are not gonna let up, he seriously needs to readjust his game on the offensive end and fast. As far as defense goes, he's got no way out, his own guards cant guard anybody on the perimeter; he's always gonna have guards comin down the lane at him. He's just not the shotblocker he may have once been.
