Granted, UVA did so more as leverage to get Va Tech into the league, but like Marcus Vick may have said, it was worth the shot. Seriously, there's still a lot of people in the Carolinas and Virginia really upset at the direction the league has taken, especially if it means not getting a game against Duke every year in football. Swofford won't be happy until he can boast a more popular football conference than the SEC (ain't happening), ten teams in the basketball tourney (ditto), and the Big East folds and splits into two conferences (that, he might have a shot at).
