With an assist from Blackalicious, I hate on Chase Utley’s hitting streak, and we talk some Red Sox vs. Yankees. On the football side of things, we talk about Brett Favre’s dementia, and break down the fantasy quarterback position… all before we tragically lose Danks at the end. And yes, that second commercial you’re hearing is in fact Scott Baio and Mel “Jew Hater” Gibson doing a public service commercial for the LAPD.

Sorry, MJD, but I gotta say it is not fucking global warming that’s causing the heat this past week. Al Gore’s movie is a bunch of hooey. Anthropogenic CO2 (which is what Gore blames for global warming) has NO EFFECT on the global temperature. I’m not denying global warming, it’s a problem that needs to be researched. Of the CO2 in the atmosphere that we’ve measured, anthropogenic sources contributed .1 of 1%. I’m not wishing to start a big argument, so I’m not going to post anything else on this.
Just please, do the research, everyone, before spouting off greenie catch phrases. The environmental groups like the money they receive, and must propagate mistruths to continue to do so. They use weak science and CORRELATIONS to draw conclusions on climatic changes.
Please visit www.junkscience.com and www.junkscience.com/Greenhouse for some excellent explanation in simple terms. Follow the links provided to other sites for even more info.

So…the Brett Favre comments. Being a Packer fan, I don’t disagree with you about his tendencies, etc, but he said that the team has the most “talent” of any he’s been on, not that it is the best team, which it is obviously not. The team does have a lot of athletes. I don’t think it’s as talented as the SB-winning ones, but maybe Favre does. Either way, it makes his comments a lot more sensible. John Clayton’s got an article up on espn.com about it.

For some reason, this most recent podcast doesn’t show up at iTunes, or on Odeo… I dunno what the deal is there.

Off topic, but I am not sure if you know this.
I am an Oakland Raider fan and I never knew this. According to Al Michaels during the Raiders/Eagles pre-season game, he said RB Justin Fargas is the son of the actor who played “Huggy Bear” in the original Starsky & Hutch television series.
Fun-Ny.

Not to turn this into a political discussion, but JunkScience.com is a site run by conservatives. You might as well be citing “facts” you heard on Rush Limbaugh, because they hold as much weight.
The Podcast is outstanding. I look forward to listening to it at the gym on the weekends.

Well, I’m a major league asshole. I come on here making a smartass comment about research w/o having researched junkscience.com myself. I apologize for the assholishness.
