Maybe Karl Malone Should Just Give Up Hunting
September 13th, 2006

There’s never a bad time for a Karl Malone scandal. The Mailman is accused offering some guy $25,000 to take the blame for an illegal elk hunting trip. The suit also alleges that Karl Malone’s brother in law threatened physical violence on the guy, if he couldn’t get the investigation to disappear.

Malone’s lawyer denies that any bribe or threats took place, of course. Myself, I’m not worried about Karl Malone hunting elk. I’m more concerned about Karl Malone hunting little Mexican girls.

Ultimately, I don’t care much about the legality of a Karl Malone hunting trip, nor do I care if he bribed a guy to take the blame for it (which seems unlikely, I mean, what’s the fine for something like that? Is there a fine? Can he not get his hunting license renewed next year). But Karl Malone’s involved in a legal scandal, and for some reason, that amuses me.

And just because, here are Karl’s thoughts on today’s popular music:

My favorite part about the whole story is that Malone’s lawyer called it attempted extortion and then likened the entire thing to terrorism.

Malone may be taking this whole Republican thing just a little too far.

  2. Sir Ay Says:

Karl is a big loser. I used to make the argument that he was the best power forward ever….now he is just a clown who hunts with no license. He should be made to grab his ankles and let Elk ram him in his arse! LOL!

  3. Babs Says:

I don’t know about regulations/fines in the US (somehow, I would imagine any illegal activity involving a firearm garners a much lighter penalty in the US than in Canada), but a man was recently caught in the Yukon (way up North in bona fide hunt-to-feed-your-family country), hunting and killing a bear without a license.

He was charged with (among other offenses) unlawfully discharging a firearm and hunting without a license.

The result? He received 18 months probation and was ordered to pay a $6000 fine.

Ah yah. They also didn’t let him keep the head from the bear he killed.
