Tim Horton's is amazing, I discovered it on a trip to Ottawa last year. You can get a muffin and a coffee for like, $1. Canadian. Doesn't even feel like you're spending real money.

I submitted a letter of application to the NCAA Fanhouse to be their UK/UL blogger. Of course, I won't be hired, because I wrote the letter on my lunch break, but it's worth a shot, right?

Don't use the acid. Yes, it will give you more hours than anything else, but they are not productive hours. I suggest Crystal Meth, that will give you a solid 38-40 porductive hours a day. Of course if you get really deep into cleaning your Jr. High sports trophies or something of that nature then you are sunk. I would suggest making large signs which say things like "What is my focus?" and "STAY ON TASK" and placing them around your house ahead of time.

To be fair, some of the best college basketball bloggers (Yoni Cohen and Kyle Whelliston) are so good they're already getting paid by real organizations (ESPN and Yahoo) so I presume they weren't available. Big Ten Wonk is also on par with any sports blogger anywhere, though oddly he hasn't been snatched up by anyone yet. I'll also put in my two cents for the Duke Basketball Report as one of the best team-specific blogs out there- they don't call themselves a blog, but that is primarily because they've been around since before the term (or the software) was invented.

I was thinking the same thing about the strength of the sports blogosphere.

At the NCAA Fanhouse, the only other guy I know of is Adam Rank who runs The Hater Nation -- a football/general site. and i by no means would call myself a college blogger.

it is strange the big names in the NBA sites. guess a lot of funny, talented guys thought they'd rather do the NBA than general stuff, i guess.

strange indeed. but kudos to Mr. Mottram for getting those big-name guys.

I've never really thought of the NFL blogosphere as weak, but I suppose I can't see the forest for the trees. It's not as strong as the NBA and MLB blogospheres, no, but that may just be because those bloggers have more games to write about and are more loyal to their teams than the army of fantasy geeks and degenerate gamblers that follow the NFL.

Degenerate gamblers bet on college hoops brackets every March, too. Maybe there's a correlation there...

If perception is reality, you should drop some acid. You'll get like 300 hours a day. Make sure to share with the visuals, though.
