MJD, what’s a man gotta do to get a Deadspin account on this side of the internet? I’m tired of the same 5 guys telling racehorse jokes over and fucking over for weeks at a time, and the same two Deadspin girls throwing out subtle sexual innuendos for attention. Hook a bitch up.
BTW, the CFG cameo was fantastic. I watched Season 3 of “The Wire” this weekend, and I equate CFG’s appearance with the shot of a prominent peripheral character chilling in a gay bar close to the end of the season. It’s like “Yo what the fuck?!” - nothing actually happens but you’ll be tuning in next week/season, to see what’s going on. Best show on television, you should check it out once you’ve unsoggified your mangina and given up on ‘Friday Night Lights’.

Agreed. The Deadspin “regulars” are about .01% as funny as they think they are. Some are still pretty solid, don’t get me wrong, but the majority have grown tired and old. Which is why my position on becoming a Deadspin commenter remains “Meh.”
Good stuff about the Deadspin girls, though. *laugh*
Well I for one, would like to join in the Deadspin reindeer games. But I readily acknowledge that I have not contributed anything worthwhile to the satellite Deadspin sites, so until that day happens, I shall sit back and enjoy the racehorse and Holly Mangold jokes.
For what its worth, I voted for MJD 2.0 on my Pro Bowl ballot for kick returner, and the AFC kick return ballot doesn’t have a Devin Hester-type lock for the Pro Bowl. He might sneak in there.
If you’d like a Deadspin commenter invite, e-mail me at the address you can find down and to the left there, and I’ll see what I can do for you.
Also, the extreme sogginess of my mangina is a personal matter, and something I’m very proud of, since you mentioned it. I’ve actually cooled slightly on Friday Night Lights. I still watch, but… it’s veered even farther away from the tone and feel of the movie, so… I’m not in love with it, but I do think it’s a quality show.
And I currently giving The Wire a try. I have the first three discs of Season One at the moment, but I haven’t watched much. I started watching the first episode, and it didn’t thrill me, and I haven’t given it another shot yet. But I will.
The first season of The Wire slowly builds from episode to episode. Its not like the Sopranos where during any episode they could just blow you away with something.
More of a slow building process until the final two episodes. Those are pretty damn intense.

I’ve gotta admit…I assumed that The Mighty CFG was dead and gone. I’m glad that gambling-addicted bastard is back in your life MJD.

Agreed on the Deadspin website. The only funny ones went off and made their own websites. And they jacked my Vick picture without giving me credit.
