A knitter, huh? My fiancee’s a knitter. You can’t get her to stop. Seriously, the last time I went to a Blackhawks game, she wanted to go, and she brought her knitting. When the security guy checked her bag, he just laughed. I didn’t really care, so long as she wasn’t disturbing me watching the game, though I bet it looked kind of odd when I stood up and cheered every time a goal was scored, and she sat and knit.
It’s okay though because it was a Blackhawks game; there weren’t many goals and hardly anyone was there to see it.
On another note, why the hell is there an 8-year-old in your sports bar? Shit, this is a growing problem no matter where you seem to go. If you want to sit and watch the game with your kid, do it at home or something. If you’re just there trying to pick out a significant other with your kid along for the ride, you’re a pathetic bastard. Christ, is it that hard to find and pay a babysitter these days?
But something tells me this conversation has been had before on themightymjd…

Interesting note on Suisham… when he was a freshman at Bowling Green, he reportedly held some guy out a window for oogling/touching/banging his (smoking hot) girlfriend.
He’s also the NCAA record holder for career PATs (both made and attempted, I believe).

I’m glad fot LT. He’s awesome. With that being said, I wish the Steelers had a coach that cared less about preserving their franchise players than he does about them gaining individual records. In a disappointing season, I could have seen FWP put up 3 bills the other night. Instead he doesn’t play the 4th quarter. People talk of Cowher and Marty being the same coach but I don’t see it. Cowher would never be giving LT carries to pad his stats against a tired D with under 5 minutes to go in a blowout.
Maybe he was saving FWP for the playoffs.

It was the right call to get Tomlinson the touchdown there. You do it then, and from inside the 10, and it’s not hanging over anyone’s head, you don’t have to deal with the media asking questions about it… it’s just out of the way.

Yeah I’m neither condemning it or condoning it, mjd. Just pointing out that Cowher would have cared less about the record. Once the game is over, he put’s in the replacement backs. A few weeks ago, FWP needed 5 yards to break the Steelers record and he didn’t see the ball for the 4th quarter. So contrary to popular belief, these two are not the same coach. My only point.
